no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday,
or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:"
We don’t mind going off
our diets on special occasions. We may even plan ahead so it will not disrupt
our weight loss plans too badly.
But there are times of the
year, and this is one of them, where the special occasions are too close
together and eating like we’re not dieting may undo all the good we have worked
so hard for. That’s when we want to incorporate our diets into the special
occasion fare.
If we have the opportunity, we may be able to bring a diet-friendly dish to a party that everyone can enjoy and our fellow dieters will appreciate. Another strategy is to ignore the fat, calorie, and carbohydrate rich foods and drinks and scope out the vegetables, fruits, and any other offering on our weight loss plan and stick with that.
