Overnight Fat

Read Titus 1-3, Philemon 1

Titus 3:3 "For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another."

Ever had the feeling that we got fat overnight? Just yesterday we were experiencing a little water retention weight or that the dryer shrunk our clothes and today we caught ourselves in one of the full-length mirrors at the mall and felt sorry for that poor fat person, only to realize we were looking at ourselves.

We didn’t realize how fat we had become. That’s when it feels like we got fat overnight.

Of course the logical part of our brains knows that obesity doesn’t happen overnight, but the shock of seeing ourselves clearly can happen all at once. We can use this phenomenon in losing weight when we keep dieting and exercising, but don’t weigh or measure ourselves. One day the difference will be so noticeable we will catch ourselves in that same mirror and not recognize the newly slender version of ourselves.
