Reward Progress

Read 2 Thessalonians 1-3

2 Thessalonians 3:13 "But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing."

We may not have reached our ultimate goal yet, but we have made progress. When we acknowledge the progress we have made, we encourage ourselves to keep going.

So we may want to reward ourselves for the progress we have made. We can celebrate certain milestones of our choosing, but we will want to stay away from rewarding ourselves with edible goodies.

It will be tempting to treat ourselves with a hot fudge sundae or other calorie, fat, and carbohydrate loaded food we have been missing, but we will want to make a list of other things to reward our progress with. We might treat ourselves to a new outfit or a day off from household chores—things like that—depending on the size of our progress and our budgets.
