Nehemiah 7:64 "These
sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was
not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood."
We are used to being
judged by our appearance. We no longer blink when we are turned down for
something we are qualified for.
We know that some people
looking at our weight think we are unqualified, without even looking at any
other criteria. They don’t realize that our weight struggles give us an edge.
We have had to work harder
and longer, not only to keep our weight down, but often just to prove our
worth. And we aren’t going to let snap judgments defeat us.
