Job 23:12 "Neither
have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of
his mouth more than my necessary food."
When we’re hungry, nothing
but food will do. But for those times when we want to eat but we aren’t
actually hungry, we want to find something better than food to satisfy us.
We might want to find
hobbies that consume us and occupy our hands so we have to stop what we’re
doing to eat. It may help us to wait until we’re actually hungry because it is
inconvenient.
Exercising until we
experience that aerobic high may also keep us from eating when we’re not
hungry. It can help manage our moods so we aren’t tempted to eat when we’re sad
or bored.
