Ruth 2:16 "And let
fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may
glean them, and rebuke her not."
When we say leftovers,
people groan. Leftovers have an undeserved bad reputation.
Hating leftovers can be a
good thing if it inspires us to cook less and eat less, so nothing is left
over. It’s not a good thing if we eat more, just to use everything up in one
meal, though.
Planning for leftovers can
save us work, if we cook once and eat more than once. It also gives us a chance
to use our imaginations to make the leftovers unrecognizable.
