Gift of Food

Read 1 Samuel 25-27

1 Samuel 25:35 "So David received of her hand that which she had brought him, and said unto her, Go up in peace to thine house; see, I have hearkened to thy voice, and have accepted thy person."

We give gifts of food on many occasions. The first that comes to mind is at Christmas time.

Whether it’s baked goods, homemade candy, or a gingerbread house we put together, Christmas is a great time to give food as gifts. But there are other occasions, too.

When someone we know is recovering from surgery or loss, we often bring food to them. In those occasions, it is just as likely to be a casserole as a dessert—even sometimes a whole meal.
