Genesis 28:11 "And he
lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was
set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and
lay down in that place to sleep."
It seems logical that the
more you stay awake, the more calories you consume and the more weight you
lose. Even if you’re not very active for that extra time, you still expend
calories.
But any article you read
about sleep and weight loss tells a different story. The less sleep you get,
the less weight you lose.
Maybe it’s because that extra time is spent eating to try to stay awake and keep your energy levels up—extra calories you don’t even realize you’re eating. But whatever the reason, add getting enough sleep to cutting calories and exercising as the ingredients to effectively losing weight.
