Don’t Starve Yourself

Read Genesis 25-27

Genesis 25:30 "And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom."

When we start a diet, we’re not surprised to be hungry—at first. We figure we’ll get used to the new eating patterns and our bodies will adjust and we won’t be hungry all the time.

But time goes on and we’re still hungry. It’s time to look at the diet we picked. Some diets are not good for us no matter how faithfully we follow them. If you’ve already stuck to a starvation diet, you’ve probably made a lot of progress in a short time.

It’s time to switch to a nutritious food plan. If you keep starving yourself, you will soon wear your determination down and before you know it, you’ll be back to making poor food choices. You might find yourself trying to make up for all that suffering and could end up worse off than when you started.
