Overeating

Read Genesis 43-46

Genesis 43:34 "And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as any of their's. And they drank, and were merry with him."

It should be easy to avoid overeating, but it catches us too often. All we have to do is control our portions, so why is it so hard?

We overeat during the holidays and special occasions. We overeat at restaurants because we want to get our money’s worth. We overeat at parties and potluck dinners because the food is so good and we won’t get another chance at it.

 

Knowing the danger is coming gives us the opportunity to prepare. We can ready ourselves for the temptations, make a plan to survive with our diets intact, put that plan into action, and avoid overeating.
