Romans 7:19 "For the
good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do."
This spells out the
dieter’s dilemma: we eat what we shouldn’t and don’t exercise when we should.
It should be a lot easier to lose weight than it is.
Why is it so hard to
resist temptation? If we know we only have to deny ourselves for a little
while, shouldn’t we be able to stick to a diet for a few months or so?
If we know how good exercising is for us, shouldn’t we embrace our workout time each day? Unfortunately, our contrariness has us acting the opposite of our own best interests.
