Song of Solomon 5:1 "I
am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my
spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my
milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved."
In college, lots of the
students added milk to their cola drinks. In pizza restaurants, we can order
anchovies with pineapple and anything else we might want on our pizza.
Strange taste combinations
have been around ever since Solomon wrote about drinking wine with his milk.
Sometimes we might be reluctant to try something we have never had before or
some combination we have never tried before when we are ordering at a
restaurant.
We don’t want to waste
money on the chance we might not like it. But unless we are willing to try different
food combos, we will never know if we might be missing something delicious.
