Proverbs 20:17 "Bread
of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with
gravel."
We trust labels to be
truthful. We depend on them to tell us the amount of calories, fats,
carbohydrates, and nutrients in a portion so we can figure the data into our
diets.
Once we’ve read and factored
the information into our diets, we stop reading that particular label. But food
companies are always working on making their products better and sometimes those changes mean differences in the calories, fats, carbohydrates, and nutrients.
We don’t have to keep
checking every single time we buy a favorite product. However, it wouldn’t hurt
to spot check every so often, just to make sure there haven’t been any alterations.
