Broken Teeth

Read Psalms 57-60

Psalms 58:6 "Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord."

Anyone who has ever had a broken tooth knows the indescribable pain. It’s the one time we don’t try to handle our pain with food.

In fact, any kind of dental problems that cause pain or make eating difficult keeps us from overeating. Nothing but a trip to the dentist will solve our problems.

And usually it keeps us from eating for a day or more after that, depending on the procedure we had to have done. Once we can eat again, we have to exercise special self-control to keep several days of hunger from tempting us beyond eating normally.
