Unexpected Changes

Read 2 Kings 16-18

2 Kings 17:4 "And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison."

Those around us who are used to our eating and exercising habits being a certain way may not be too pleased at the changes we have made. They may not begrudge us our choices, it’s the spillover onto them that they may find hard to take.

It may be family members we normally cook for that have grown tired of the healthy foods they are now being presented with. They miss the way things used to be.

It may be friends, coworkers, neighbors, or fellow church members that use to count on us to bring them our famous calorie-laden treat. We can certainly understand the disappointment and frustration, but we can’t let others derail our resolve.
