Restriction

Read 1 Kings 13-15

1 Kings 13:9 "For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest."

When we restrict our diets too much, we could be setting ourselves up for failure. The more restricted our diets, the harder it is to stick to it.

We may find that the only food we want is the one on our “never” list. We may even crave that one forbidden food.

No matter how badly we want or need to lose the weight, too much restriction is not helpful. Even if it’s a matter of health, we will want to find a way to make allowances for and adjustments in our favorites.
