Decorating With Food

Read 1 Kings 7-9

1 Kings 7:42 "And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were upon the pillars;"

When we’re trying to keep away from temptation, we probably adopt an out-of-sight-out-of-mind philosophy. We don’t want to have food too handy in case it might trigger a desire to eat.

But there are times we might want to decorate with food. A cornucopia at Thanksgiving time or a gingerbread house for Christmas, eggs at Easter—and more.

While we’re trying to stay away from goodies, we may want to use healthy foods when we decorate, like fruits, vegetables, and eggs. Later, we can bring out the candy and cookie decorations—when we can handle them.
