Getting Active

Read Jeremiah 49-52

Jeremiah 50:29 "Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel."

Regular exercising is good and necessary to lose weight. But we can go beyond formal exercises to encourage weight loss.

We can get active in other ways. We can move around more often, we can do things the hard way—the one that involves the most strenuous activity.

Magazines sometimes have charts that show how many calories we burn depending on what we do. As we clean our houses, vacuum our cars, or beat batter in a bowl, we can take satisfaction in knowing we are burning calories.
