When Fat Was Good

Read Isaiah 34-36

Isaiah 34:7 "And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness."

Once upon a time people wanted to be fat. Being fat meant they were prosperous, so fat was in.

Even now, there are some places where fat is considered beautiful. The musical “Fiddler On The Roof” refers to how wonderful it would be if the hero’s wife was fat.

We don’t know how healthy those folks were, but we do know that fat is no longer considered a desirable state. Even if we are still not as slim as we want to be, we can be as trimmed and toned as our exercise programs allow.
