Isaiah 46:10
"Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things
that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my
pleasure:"
When we set out to lose
weight, it helps us to declare the end from the beginning. We need to be clear
how much weight we want to lose and what we are willing to do to reach that
goal.
We want to be realistic
and we want to be healthier. We may decide on a modest goal at first—something we
know we can reach.
Once we reach that goal,
we can decide if we want to continue or if we want to maintain that weight
until we get used to it. The most important thing to remember is that we don’t
want to go too far and jeopardize the very health we worked so hard to achieve.
