Rest

Read Leviticus 25-27

Leviticus 25:5 "That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land."

When we’re pushing hard to lose weight with a strict diet and vigorous exercise, sometimes we need to rest from our efforts. Our bodies are adjusting to the new normal and we may stop losing weight for a time.

We might want to search out other low calorie, fat, and carbohydrate foods and shock our bodies into losing weight again. Letting our bodies rest doesn’t mean we want to gain back any of the weight we might have lost, though.

Some may rest by fasting or going on a crash diet. Those extreme responses are not recommended, but a day or two might not hurt when we are doctor-declared healthy.
